Meaty Spaghetti Sauce
Description
This is a very meaty concoction from the time when I was having problems with acid and thought that reducing the tomato content would allow me to eat spaghetti sauce again. This recipe is Gluten-free and has no preservatives.
Ingredients
- 1 large fresh basil leaf shredded
- 1 inch fresh lemon thyme, 10-12 leaves, shredded
- 1 medium red pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- sprinkle of oregano
- dash of ground black pepper
- 23oz tomato sauce
- 1 lb ground beef
- 10 cumin seeds
- 2 fresh rosemary leaves shredded
- ground garlic to taste
Method
- Fry hamburger with black pepper
- Mix tomato sauce and remaining spices
- combine and cook over low heat or in crock pot on low setting for a long time, or until starving
Variations
- you can used dried rosemary, but try to get fresh basil and lemon thyme
