Lentil Chutney #2

Description

This chutney started with the recipe for Lentil Chutney in "The Classic 1000 Indian Recipes", Wendy Hobson editor, but I ranged quite a way from there. This recipe is gluten-free, vegan, and contains no preservatives.

  1. Heat the oil and fry the lentils, chilli and black mustard seeds for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the coconut and fry until some of the coconut has become browned
  3. Grind in a mortar and pestle
