Devil's Chutney
Description
This is a chutney with little flavor and a lot of heat. If you're forced to prepare a recipe that's more mild than you like for the tastes of guests, use this to kick up the heat on your own plate. This recipe is gluten-free and contains no preservatives.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp veg. oil
- 4 cloves garlic, diced
- 1 tsp black mustard seeds, crushed
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 14 hot thai peppers, chopped
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Method
- heat oil in skillet
- fry garlic for until it begins to brown
- add remaining dry ingredients and the peppers and stir over heat for 3-5 minutes
- remove from heat and stir in lemon juice
